BTW, thank you for posting the pics of your PAL cuda Dave, looks pretty close to the Web Edition minus the coolness of Orange!

You're one lucky guy Anyway, I decided to use the battery straps of the new Yokomo SD, I installed them last night and had to grind abit on the straps to make a perfect fit. It's a pretty cheap alternative, cost me around YEN720.

Damn. I just got done balancing 2 tires, it took me like 40 mins to get them perfect, I dont know how I am gonna do that to 20 more pairs without going insane. I bought a prop balancer that you hang a shaft between 2 magnets, then put the wheel on that shaft. Even with an unbalanced tire you can spin it for about 5 mins, wish my bearings could do that. I start by putting some CA on the light side of the wheel, then using zip kicker to rapid dry it. Do that as much as I can, then shave away at the heavy side of the wheel with an X-Acto. It was a bitch, but since I'll be running stock, every little thing makes a difference.

FBJ: thanks. just weighing the pros and cons of each of the cars available to me here locally - including cost. as you know im in search for a 2nd kit for TC (am not at all considering letting go of the losi). of cors in the process i might as well try something new since tried most of the others already. that would mean my choices will be the Yok-SD, Barracuda, or the Assassin ... Pro4 will be another to consider although that seems to be a bit down the road in terms of a release date.

I already gave the Yok SD a shot, and although it is very fast, the R2's durability is much better. I'm pretty sure both cars will handle similarly, so why not get the one that will break less parts?
