I forgot to mention, he came up to me at Carlisle and said hi.
Had a look at my cuda and he was yet another person to ask how my car was so darn fast he says you keep trying to get him to buy a Barracuda, keep going His Atlas is the only one I know of in Scotland, do rare cars run in the family?

I'm hoping he has some in, he said he got an order in just before the reedy race, I think he hasn't had the time to update the website. I need a couple too, especially after such a tiny stone messed one up

Hey Dave you didn't answer my question about whats the best way to lower the steering post heights for when you don't use the clear diff covers. I think you need to get away from home again, you had more free time back then

Sorry Heremi'

ALEX Racing makes a set of posts and spacers that they sell as a kit it's really cheap.. I think that Steve ordered them a while back...

But you can modifiy the original ones....all you have to do is remove 1mm from the lower bushings and 1mm from the total lenght of the posts..from the top

Yep Keith said he'd met you up at Carlisle and said you were going pretty good, and yes 'rare' cars DID run in the family, I run an Atlas and a Cuda but Keith is seriously considering joing the Losi club!!

I want to congratulate Rod on his win. He had a great weekend. He was TQ but Dave had some bad luck in the Mains or he might have taken it. Every time there was an incident, Dave seemed to get the worst of it but still was able to fight back to take second overall. In the last Main, he had a hard time getting past second place which let Rod get a good lead otherwise he would have had a real fight on his hands for that last win. Steve had some bad luck too but Dave, Steve and MikeR all ran strong this weekend. I feel sorry for John though. He good a bad handout motor and couldn't really participate. Sorry, dude. Maybe next year. CONGRATS to the ENTIRE CUDA Race team!

I recall one of the deals where Dave, Joey O (Yokomo SD) were fighting for second when we got dog-piled in Tamiya's dogleg (the "kink") and we all basically had our throttles pegged trying to get away from each other. It was funny seeing three loose cars pinballing off one another trying to get away and into the carousel first. Somehow I managed to get away (sometimes it's better to be lucky than good). Dave, traction isn't the best when your full wood on the greens hehe. Good race for the Cuda team. And what a HUGE effort put in by Dave. He showed us what it takes to get the car up on podium when he had to start so low on the grid. Awesome!

I've just seen some interesting pinions for sale in the UK, Ultralight pinions, with the teeth being made of some yellow plastic type material They're very well priced too. Just thinking that if they're softer than spur gears it would be easier and cheaper to sacrifice a pinion instead of a spur. No need to dismantle half the car to get at the spur if you don't get the mesh quite right, I've found the mesh to be very critical.
