OK You'll need the following..
1) R2 lower chassis ( this is it but the rest is optional
) 2) front and rear shock towers( if you are going to use the R2 A-arms)
3)sway bars for front and rear...or 5mm alloy spacers for front & rear shock towers.
4) Mid Span or Long Span R2 A-arms
5) PAL Drive system

Dave has posted a couple of times on what you need to convert an R1 to R2, there's not a huge amount, one thing I remember was the bottom chassis but Dave also posted an alternative chassis which may be of interest just the other day.
I'm making a list for Steve Right now on what Part#'s you'll need to convert your R1's Up to R2 Spec..... I'll see if he'll post it up on the ALEX USA Site for the R1 users

...there isn't any Magic car that doesn't have any problems... ...But the Barracuda R2 Comes close

what do I win? 
When you said you added a washer to the thrust bearing side it gave me the clue, thought that would make things worse for the right hand side
you'll probably not forget how to build you diffs in a long time, like me and the shocks, silly o-rings had me rebuilding them for most of a day 
now I can do one in minutes, although those pesky bleed screws would double the time needed

Alex Racing Batterys
Hey Guys.... Alex Racing Now has there line of GP 3300 Batterys that they are Selling.... ...I'll be trying a set out when I get back.. I'm sure that they are pretty god but the price on a mached set is Way too much to be bothered with 14000 Yen for a 6 cell
