So who's noticed the Barracuda symbol is a rip off of the Breitling watches logo

They better watch out (what a terrible pun, I didn't even realise it til I typed it ) or Alex Racing could get sued

My Job well if you want to know

My Job is basically the Quality Assurance Division in my Squadron for 7 Helo's I manage and run 10 Different Programs and Squadron Programs ... I have to keep an eye on a shift of 35 Air craft maintainers...(babysiting) and the best of all I'm my own supervisor... so I pretty much can do what I want to..99.999% of the time....

Now as far as the R2 ....I haven got mine yet.....Steve at SpeedTech is getting all of the goodies that I nee together for me now..

But the R2 has a much better base to start from than the R1 did ... plus it has more options to start with too.

Amen to that

The Cuda R2 is probably the best car I've seen for quality parts in a kit in it's price range. I can't name another kit that comes with a delrin diff as standard, very few even come with woven graphite shock towers as standard. It's nice to see Alex racing has seen the problems the original had and worked on fixing them, the chassis is as balanced as a shaft drive car will ever be without adding weight and there is plenty of built in strength for parts like suspension that are likely to break, yet the car is still very light weight. Ok I don't like the bleed screws in the shocks but thats personal preferance, I find the little screws very difficult to get in far enough to stop oil leaking out although I like hat they're alloy and threaded as standard and once I'd built one correctly I found the others easy.

PS. if you haven't noticed, I love my Cuda

you bet they're expensive, pilots love em though, they even do a model for pilots which has a built in GPS that they can activate if they crash, it's a big sucker but if I was flying in remote places I think I'd want one.

A race buddy decided to get himself a Brietling and he paid 900 after getting 300 off the rrp

I'll be running my cuda this weekend with foams on a carpet track, so the test drive report will have to wait till then. I feel the kit itself was pretty darn good. I have to admit I am a bit spoiled by the fit and quality of my xray. While the cuda's was very good it still, in my opinion, was not on par with the Xray. I already have a order in to replace all the phillips head screws that the car came with.

The drivetrain is SMOOTH. This impressed the heck out of me. I liked the way to shocks went together and the bleed screws. It made it easier to get consistant feeling shocks. Other than that I can't wait to take this thing for a spin!!!!

Default Foam tire setup

PKRanger, please let us know your carpet setup w/ foams. That is what we run here. I was planning on a little heavier oil, like 70 or 80 weight and maybe some heavy springs. We use purple rears and plaid fronts. Thanks.
