Dave, will we be stripping bevel gears fast if we don't have this? Will it make the drivetrain quiter? What is actually the benefit of getting this part? Thanks for the input.
These will hold the input gears more true and will make the drive train more efficent and a tad bit more quite ...they are worth it and when combined with the PAL shaft holder/mount it will be perfect

also what you could do if the money thing is kind of hard... you could buy the rear one and then later buy the front one

Dave,
I was thinking of getting one for the front and get the new Pal motor shaft mount for the rear.

That will work too...since the font and rear shaft holders are universal

Default Smooth drivetrain!!

WOW.. This has to be one of the smoothest drivetrains I have seen or heard. I am about 1.5 hours into the break-in and its getting smoother. Then I am going to dissasemble it and clean the bearings one more time. I bought some 12 dollar ultrasonic jelwery cleaner at wal-mart so we'll see how that works. Then its on to the set-up board for intial set-ups. Can't wait to run this thing

Let us know how long you can spin the drive train for hahahhaa I think we all should try to set a record with ours....it's what some of the local guys and I do when I'm back in Japan... we all try to come upi with something new for the drivetrain to make it more and more efficent ..I think that Steve has the longest spining Barracuda Drivetrain in the states now with 20 seconds

any one want to take a stab a beating it..

last weekend at durham the only thing that a"barracuda"was doing was glitching all over the track.but for me....i really like the fact that it is shaft driven and it "is" graphite.therefore allowing for more chassis adjustments.
