Default Can I identify these tires?

Getting back into the sport has been fun. I have a box of sedan tires from back in the day that are all mounted on white disks... and I labeled some of them (22s, 27s,) etc on the inside of the wheels with a sharpie. But, I neglected to label 6 or 8 of them. They are Take-offs, and they say "made in japan" along the sidewall, but no other markings.

1) Is there ANY way to tell what compound these are?
2) Are Take-off ratings the same as Sorex ratings? 27s = 27s
3) The lower the number, the softer the compound?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Getting up to speed,

Cpt.

I've heard somewhere if you lick the tire and depending on the bitter taste you could tell the compound.

Well, one set tastes like paragon, the other tastes like dirt and asphault.

Im not sure a pic will help. On one side of the side wall it has "take off", on the other is written "made in japan". No ther markings at all... its simply a take off sedan tire. Do I have to just run it and guess?

I am more interested in seeing the style of the wheel and comparing it to what we have now to make an educated guess on what brand the wheel is.
