Question fellas, I was bench testing an Extreme stock with the 211 software with no capacitor.. I noticed it wasn't getting full throttle, is this due to no capacitor?

What does the manual say about the capacitor?

Default xtreme stock

Hi I have an extreme stock 60a. I am going to be using it in my sc10 with a team checkpoint 13.5. Wondering if you guys could help me with some settings to start with? I will be running it on an indoor clay track with one straight and quite a few turns. I know in the manual it says only to use boost on onroad cars is it okay to run boost with my sc10?

Well, ran yesterday with my 17.5 in the open class & had the fastest car on the track. My lap times were even faster than they were the last race with my 13.5. So now I think I can get even more out of the 13.5.

MOTOR: NOVAK SS 17.5
FDR: 7.56
F/W: 211
MOTOR TEMPS: 141
ESC TEMPS: 105
RUNNING MODE: FORWARD/BRAKE/REVERSE
DRAG BRAKE: 0%
VOLTAGE PROTECT: CUSTOM 6.2
DDRS: LEVEL 9
BRAKE FORCE: 87.5%
REVERSE FORCE: 50%
INITIAL BRAKE: 0%
NEUTRAL RANGE: 6%
BOOST TIMING: 20
TURBO SLOPE: 24 UNITS/0.1 SEC
OVERHEAT PROTECT: ON
TURBO TIMING: 40
BOOST START RPM: 1000 RPM
TURBO DELAY: 0.1 SEC
TIMING ACC/SLOPE: 100 RPM/UNIT

Very good, I too have used the Novak SS 17.5 Pro with FW 211 with excellent results.

I used the following parameters in average runway

FDR 6.9

9 - 40 °
10 - 18 /0,1 s
12 - 24 °
13 - 3000 rpm
14 - 0.2
15 - 300

Engine temperature 70 ° C (151°F)
Air temperature over 25 ° (77°F)

Unfortunately I have not had the same results with the engine Xerun 17.5, I can not find the right setup, temperatre too high or low speed, there is someone who has done testing on this engine?

I'm glad to report that we swept the event in the modified class. We were averaging a second per lap faster than anyone else.I don't know what motors the others were running, but I was running my Novak SS 13.5 with just a touch of endbell timing added. The rest was my 120a Xerun with the 211 f/w.
So here's the setting I ran.

MOTOR: NOVAK SS 13.5
FDR: 8.68
F/W: 211
MOTOR TEMPS: 101
ESC TEMPS: 85
RUNNING MODE: FORWARD/BRAKE/REVERSE

TURBO SLOPE: 18 UNITS/0.1 SEC
OVERHEAT PROTECT: ON
TURBO TIMING: 30
BOOST START RPM: 4000 RPM
TURBO DELAY: 0.3 SEC
TIMING ACC/SLOPE: 350 RPM/UNIT

Next week I may try my SS 17.5 with the same settings, but different fdr.
I ran this same track yesterday with my 17.5 SS motor using mt 13.5 setup. It was even better than with my 17.5 setup. Didn't get a chance to check out my lap times, but we swept 'em again. The motor temps were at 162F max & esc topped out at 110F. I think that was due to the 85 degree day & hotter track conditions.
There was one racer that was even with me in speed & handling. He said he was running a stock brushed. We ran the last 2.5 minutes about ten feet apart.
IT WAS AWSOME!

Anyone running WGT outdoors with a HW? i finally got my WGT running yesterday, and i the car is lacking some serious punch. I have the same top speed as the other drivers, but in the infield the car just feels soft. Temps are alittle high too, coming off at 150-180. Rollout is 76mm.

I am alittle confused the how a 13.5 motor should be setup. I figured the RO should have been around a 60-65mm range, but when I do that I dont get the top end going down the straight.

Track is medium grip asphault (Smooth parking lot), and the back straight is normally 80ft(?).

Shawn.

I have a HW Xtremestock 60A ESC with a SP V3.0 10.5 motor on my drift chassis (Yokomo DRB) and I was wondering is someone can help me with the settings?

I need the brakes to lock up the wheels right away. With my setup as it is now the wheels won't lock up right away but feel a bit like it has ABS. I have set the brake force to 100%, reverse speed to 100% (someone told me that that would help on some versions of the software), initial brake to the max etc.

Does someone know how I can get the most agressive brake setup as possible? I don't care if I have to switch to a different software version as I still have the software on it from the factory.

Cheers,
Tizer

Well, I'm not really sure with the SS motors. The timing is changed by turning the colored ring & there's no timing marks. Not sure what's considered zero timing. So I just set it half way between. That might be zero, or advanced. I really would like to know where zero timing is on these motors.

My car overheats. Will the setting for the ESC help like timing etc? Any tips? My car is:

TF5, 5.5t Ezrun, 8.125 FDR
Heatsink with turbo fan.

I play on Asphalt with the weather at 32C. I dont know what heats does motor reach but it gets cut off (ESC auto cut off).
