I gotta give props to Andrew, dude has always been nice to me and it seems he was just stating his opinion and it stepped on toes and they snapped at him. I really don't feel like it should have been taken to a level of personal attack. It is also low for some many to jump on board with it. It would have seemed alot more "professional" if the response had been not been on the person but instead on the opinion. The extra "comments" that were made were un called for.

I'm agreeing with promatch on this one. I read all the way through this twice and can't see why Andrew's original post drew such a personal attack from Rick. He pointed out what he thought were some short comings of the design and actually complimented it in the end. I remember some old Trinity motors with aluminum endbells having similar issues back in the day. Pure Gold anyone?

I don't think it has been posted anywhere, I was under the impression it was mailed out to member blocs. Somebody made a reference to it being on the list in the IFMAR Worlds thread here, though the name escapes me.

On the other issue, I don't think that Andrew intended his original post to be such a smash on the V2 motors, or at least didn't intend it to come off like it did. But Rick has every right to defend his product vigorously.

Like most threads on here, people are quick to join to winning side, since it's more fun to be a winner. I think the disagreement is pretty much over, so let's drop it and move on...

Well if I may just make a small comment without getting flamed. I know Andrew and I don't believe he had any other intention than stating his opinion. I don't know Rick Howart but the fact that he attacked someone, regardless of what previous relationship there may have existed with Peak, was unprofessional.

Either way I don't think that someone who has won the Reedy Race Open class in 2002, finished ahead of Rick Howart (15th) in invite in 2003, finished 4th in open in 2004 needs any pointers on how to drive.

I think everyone here needs to remember....Opinions are like A-holes....everyone has one.
