Default LED High Power Pit Lights from Walmart

We have been using a new high power LED architect's type light for a pit light. A Walmart find. They are $15.99 in stores as I recall. Incredibly bright LED. They are great for working on cars because you can put them over the car and get the light directed on what you are seeing. The Ott type light and the one I had been using seem to blast light all over the place. These LED dudes are perfect! They come in six colors I think including jet black.

Looks a tad bit big to put in a pit bag, but nice none the less.

I am using a $25 ottlite from Fry's. It folds and looks similar to the team orion ones. Who needs a team whatever brand for a light?

Forgot to mention it completely collapses for your pit box! Base removes too.

I need to look into that. My Ottlite just died after very little use over the last 3 months. I took it apart to see if I could fix it but no luck.

How heavy is that base?

I already carry too much heavy stuff to the track

Not too bad. Just enough to offset the light. We've all seen this kind of light before on a drafting table, but these are about 2/3rds that size. Get one and you'll see. Heck, if you don't like it, Walmart will take anything back for any reason.

Here is another one....its not too expensive....plus it apears to have more LEDs then the walmart one. Might have to try one out to replace my old light.

You guys should check out the new pit lights from RC Trim. They break down/fold up, small and just pretty dang cool. Peter Robinson started a thread for RC Trim products just recently. Take a look!
