Default TA-05 2vr build help?

Hey guys i just got my ta-05 2vr and my putting it together, i was just wondering about this synthetic contact cement that they tell u to use when putting together the belt pulleys, my LHS told me i can just put some of the grey grease that comes with the kit there and i will be fine. I just want more peoples opinion about this and what other products people have used for this portion of the build. Thanks.

yeah man i built one, i've heard alot of different opinions about it, but most say you can use a bit of diff lube or some of that anti wear grease to secure the rings. i just used a bit of rubber cement to hold them.

I think contact cement might not dry flat, and the ring might not sit flat on the outdrive. Grease might be the better option (as done by a Tamiya Factory Driver on a youtube video).

I use grease.
