Default Question about tamiya vg damper oil

Hello,

I drive actualy with vg damper oil 45.
My question is what mean "45" because nothing unit is write on this.

45 for 450 cst ?
45 wt ?

I ve asso 500 cst and tamiya seem to be smoother

Any feedback or info on tamiya oil ?

Tamiya VG shock oils are believe to be rebranded Muchmore oil, minus an 0 at the end so Tamiya VG 45 is essentially Muchmore 450.

Check the following for comparison:

After some research, the Tamiya VG is not the same as Muchmore oil.

Tamiya uses mineral oil while Muchmore uses silicone oil. There is no direct comparison between different brands. The best bet is try it out.
