Velineon 10T motor with EZrun ESC?

Velineon 10T motor with EZrun ESC?
Searched but didn't find alot of info on it. but i've got a TA05v.2 Roller and i plan on putting a EZrun brushless combo (still on the fence about either 5.5T or 8.5T) but in the mean time i have a velineon 3500 10T brushless motor and ESC laying around, i was going to order the ezrun 60A esc and use the velineon 10T motor. would this combo work at all? would temps be manageable? what about gearing? I'd use the velineon ESC and motor if the esc wasn't so huge... anyway any help/tips greatly appreciated.
