Default Need too replace/upgrade broke motor, opinions?

Well I smashed my SpeedT into a curb, BACKWARDs, andddddd the motor didn't like that.

It broke the case off,, with screws still in place.

So now I want a replacement , and we all know what better time too do UPGRADEs than when u need it.

It comes stock with a 4800kv which I'm running 3s on, and its pretty fast for normal people , but I could always use more.

Friend has a castle 5700 in his Firestorm, meh, its bout the same as stock speedt.

Was wondering also what's better, say a 9000kv on 2s or like 2200 on 4s as far as outright speed onroad?

Looking at some of the tekin units, but refer too above question, is where I'm stuck.

So any help or opinions on a great replacement motor will be appreciated

it easy to figure out. those kv ratings are the rpm of the motor per volt of power. so for 3s you would have 3.7v*3=11.1v and then you would take the kv rating an multiply it by 11.1.

So does more Kv x 11.1 = the faster car?

Is it that simple or more too it than that?

it's that simple. if you want to go faster, then you just look for a higher kv motor.

well, you have to be able to hang on to it as well

Ok sounds good.

Any other opinions on brand of motor?

Was looking at one or 2 of the Tekins.

Friend has a Castle 5700 an it burned up twice in like last 2 weeks....replaced free but still
