The steering geometry remains the same but with the DCV your steering is a loot smoother at full lock.

Does anyone have the precise measurements for all the chassis hole locations? I'm looking into designing a carbon chassis plate for my spare TC3 and figured it'd be a good time to convert to TC4 arm mounts for better roll centre adjustments. I don't have a TC4 chassis to measure up.

I have a carbon tub TC4. I'm willing to measure. But you gotta ask nice. :-)

Might be cheaper than making your own

Interested in an updated motor mount for the tub chassis, anything out there? My motor adjustment clamp cracked by the inner mount screw so I thought I’d upgrade.

Also I can easily find the front carbon shock tower locally but the rear is impossible to find. Anything out there aftermarket-wise? Thanks.

Not sure why you'd need my email to take measurements, posting them here might help others too. Or you could just PM them.

I'm mainly looking for the arm mount and bumper positions relative to the gearbox screw holes, and possibly the steering rack holes too in case I want to try switching racks. I'm assuming the gearboxes are spaced the same between the cars so I can measure that myself, but perhaps a measurement there would be useful to confirm that assumption.

That chassis has the same issue that I'm having with the stock tub. I race outdoor asphalt, and the chassis is too wide and scrapes the track when it rolls. Plus it's more fun to make my own.

I have TC3, TC4, & FTC4 in the shed lol

What are you going to use for motor mount on a carbon deck?

Still undecided, might look into the options on Shapeways or get something fabricated locally.

yes i have built an xray ( several in fact) and i wasnt that impressed with them per sey. easier to race a car where shops have parts because they can get them which is a main reason people in the usa tend to run associated and losi. people these days also run alot of traxxas stuff because traxxas did the marketing campaign and flooded the market ( personally i think traxxas is pure junk and they should have went out of business after the discontinuing of the SRT)
