If Bert makes a race, it will have more media coverage than a Trump rally.

Personally I feel if he would stop buying hopups, light weight parts and OFNA diff lube he would have more money to race. The best hopup in the world is practice....

Hey guys, I bought this TC4 for my 12yr old son to run VTA club races with. He has been running mostly SCT on indoor clay, but also has ran a couple of VTA races with a Team Magic 4rs. I should have asked before I bought it, but for $100 I decided not to send the TC4 back. Everything is in great shape and it came with some spares including aluminum screws. I would appreciate any input on VTA racing with the TC4 as the on road stuff is new to us. I also just bought a TC6.2 already setup for VTA for myself. We will be running both of these cars for the first time this weekend.

Again with Trump.... Trump should become president at the same time I TQ and win the Worlds Championship...lol...
Hopups did make my car perform better, when you watch and compare my first race video with the bone stock tc4(no hopups) to the last (03/23/14)critters raceway video with very few hopups... So that's the main reason why I have the hopup equals better performance mentality... I also kept the same motor(Novak)/battery setup as I did when I ran the box stock car... I did test one of my buddy's tc6.1 that Diatta had setup for him, and thought it was on rails compared to my tc4, but I still outperformed him that day by a mile and a half, with alot less practice too... So I knew that I also had to learn alot more about setup in addition to all the hopups... $1000 later I had no money to race...lol..., but I would not have it any other way, specially when I can already see myself in the Amain... Hudy invested alot more than $1000 in his Xray T1, and has seen a definite performance increase, and so will I .... Cheers....

It's too bad you had to read all this crap just for a few words of advise.

DirtRacer,
Go to the Associated site, then click on setup sheets, then go to TC4 and use one of Myron Kinnard's setups. Easy as that.

Yep. And if you have issues with traction rolling then cut the side braces.

They mean the inner branch of the corner braces. Like so:

Everyone has been doing that since the TC3 days because the cars are so absurdly stiff. Honestly even with the braces cut the car will remain stiff as a brick by today's standards.

I like TJ's setup. It's very predictable and running two sway bars calmed the car down. The silver springs are softer than blues that come with the kit; the softer springs make it less twitchy and lets the suspension absorb the lean which seems to work good with the VTA tires which are wobbly.
