Default No sanding, no anything, and the pins are the stock AE ...

ones. I have noted the front and rear are different lengths. Both sides rock back and forth on the hinge pin. Not really a problem, right? Some others have had the same issue, but no response yet.

Any word on any metal lightened outdrives from AE? Looking at the picture of Baker's car from the worlds, he appears to have silver outdrives.

Nightbreed, I have your problem. Mine isnt that bad. I checked the small screw that holdes on the hinge pin and it was a little loose. I fixed that play by tightening the screw. Then I noticed where the bearings go inside the hub there is play there also. What im gonna do it try a different axle spacer like the blue factory team ones and see what happens.

I once traced what looked and felt like torque steer, in my old TC3, to bad receiver. Every time the motor was under big load the steering servo steered a bit to the right. After I replaced the receiver I never noticed torque steer again in the car.

Gave the TC4 a tough test last night. Ran a 4 hour endurance race with it. Teams of 4, 2 x 30 minutes stints each. The TC4 had me and a team mate driving it so it did 1/2 the race distance. We won on 915 laps. Thererfore the car did 450+ laps and in doing so set the fastest lap of the night (from what I understand). We did not set the car up, it was box stock with no setup changes except 42 front and 40 rear foam tires and gearing to suit a 540 Johnson motor. The car was on rails and I only had 1 practice pack before the race and could run as fast or faster than guys who had their cars dialled for the circuit and run the 540 class regularly (I only run mod and have only raced electric at 6 race meets so far, its normally gas for me )

So all in all as for a totally stock car I am very happy with it so far.

For the guys getting the slop in their cars ours has some as well and it handled great. Had tons of steering and drove absolutely straight on power.

Raced the TC4 for the first time tonight. I qualified 2nd and won. I was scared to death to hit anything because I couldn't track down any front arms. I love this car.

Ran the car for the first time on asphalt today. I used TC3 4° caster blocks up front. But I also had to use the TC3 outter hinge pins since the TC4 hinge pins were too big for the TC3 caster blocks. I also flipped the Front (rear) suspension block with the Rear (front) block to get less rear toe since I/we don't have the optional rear blocks yet. It was basically the same setup I used on my TC3.5. I would say the TC4 is just as fast.. if not faster than my TC3.5 from 2 weeks ago. The TC4 is a very nice car. Just can't wait til all the optional parts are available so I can tune it right.

Well my TC4 handels great stock... but in a really tight track the car handles a little lazy. I just picked up the complete graphite set from my local track... hopefully that will help a ton! my track also had the 4 degrees caster blocks in stock (plastic) so i am going to give those a try also. I also picked up the FT blocks and everybody at my track said go to the 2.0 rear block because the car has way too much toe out of the box... the only thing my track didn't have was sway bars.... they said they should be in next week I will put the car together and practice with it next week and let you guys know... but so far this car major @$$!!!!

Default World Championship

Well the TC4 and the Team Associated had a terrible showing at the Worlds. Don't know the reasons. TRF415 driven by Marc Rheinard won it all with 2 A-Main wins out of 3. I own that car and it is really nice. I just got the TC4 and will build it this weekend and from what I read and see it will be a great car.

I would have liked and expected to see Barry Baker win with the TC4 as he should have had it all in 2002. Really not many US drivers made the finals. Only TC4 was 5th with Juho Levanen from Finland driving that.

I disagree 190, 5th for a brand new car is not a bad showing at all, beat out the losi guys who are always dealing with a new design anyway. There were also a lot of guys further back in the field that had good runs, the winner of the A-main is not the only thing to be looked at.

Default Billy Easton?

I thought Billy Easton quit Associated to go to college.
Now he is driving for Yokomo, what gives?
He did well at the worlds, but to bad it was not a TC4.
