60/35 sounds good for a start, just check ur temp every couple laps and go from there.

would the robison racing 55t spur 35t pinion fit in the tc4.

and that would make 3.92 FDR. would that be good on a oudoor track?

im looking for a good starting place and something i could go up a tooth on pinion if need be.
Hi Chris, I was about to reply to your PM on the other forum and was going to tell you to check out the TC4 thread here on RCTech...

This^^^

Even the 3.92 FDR is fine for our layouts (we run on a temporary asphalt track that changes weekly). Recently we've been doing much larger layouts with long straights. Although our infield this past week was relatively tight. You can get away with 3.8 FDR or just a tick lower with cooling fans especially as we start moving into our cooler months. I wouldn't run much extra end-bell timing, if any. Like Rojna said, check your temps!

BTW, Chris, there is NO racing at HT North this weekend (9/1) or the following. Most of us will be running the EOS event in San Antonio on the 8th. That should give you plenty of time to get your car ready for the 15th!

thanks so you guys think i need to go with a 60 spur over the 55 on the 21.5?

im mostly concerned with what will physically fit in the car and allow for adjusment with pinion.

You can get 60/41 which will give you 3.65

YES you need to remove the webing under the pinion on the chassis if you still have it there, real easy with a dremel.

thats what i was worried about Rojna. Not the dremining but the sliding back and forth room(spur to motor center).

60t it is then on spur.

any setup particualy favored for outdoor asphalt?

thanks again.

The base setup for the Club Racer kit is good with the exception of using silver rear shock springs.

Rather than direct link a PDF file...

Here is a link on Team Associated's website for all the manuals related to the TC4. (http://www.teamassociated.com/manuals/TC4/)

The only Club Racer related manual doesn't contain any setup info.

Hi guys.

Have 2 questions.

1. As I bought used chassi I got from last owner 2 set of wheels. One is I think for indoor and nut easy keep wheel. Other set I think for outdor and i litle wide coz can't put nut, so I removed plastic washer. Its OK?

2. How correct setup front wheel for fast speed.

Thanks

Newbie here with a couple of questions. I've been a plane and drag car guy for several years now. I'm just getting interested in the on-road RC touring cars now that a track has opened up close by. I just recently purchased a TC4 chassis kit and plan to go with a brushless / li-po setup. I plan to use this mostly for fun on the carpet track at the hobby shop and out in the parking lots.

Is there a more concise thread or write up about modifications and upgrades for this chassis? This thread is just toooooo long to go through at the moment.

I'm mostly just looking for upgrades for durability and better control over all out speed for the moment. I need to get used to driving it first after. Although I won't turn down any performance tips. So any information is greatly welcomed!

Thank you,

Trinity
