We have to use a 200mm body also, I am confused about the the offset of the wheels themselves.

can anyone confirm this chassis to be a "Factory Team" TC4? i was unaware of a FT that had a tub chassis, and looking at the FT assembly manual and parts exploded view, i see twin deck carbon fiber.

also confusing me:

non-carbon shock towers
non-blue turnbuckles
silver front cvds
black half motor plate?
some blue, some not blue screws?

i know AE made several variants of this car. the RTR, the Racer Kit, the Team Kit, and the Factory Team kit. i know the FT TC3 had a tub, i was unaware of a FT TC4 with a tub tho.

i may have potentially insulted a seller, and i need to make it right.

it might have been a factory team... but it looks just like my club racer with threaded shocks and different cvds... but ive only had a tc4 for about 24hours, so someone might have a better eye than me

well i know there was a "Team" kit that may have had some of the blue stuff, but again, i'm unsure of what this kit in particular actually is.

now that i know there was a FT graphite chassis, can anyone tell me what is in the pictures? also, can anybody tell me why there was also a carbon twin deck chassis FT that didn't have a different name? seems odd that AE would make two FT versions of the same car, with two completely different chassis, and two different sets of shock towers, yet only one name

Looks like a standard Team kit and not the Factory Team. The FT did include the double-deck carbon fiber chassis.

that's what i was thinking, it was a Team kit. can i get someone else to confirm the factory team kit coming exclusively with a twin deck CF chassis?

What you have is a RTR or TEAM, impossible to tell after someone swaped some parts around.

The TC4 FT has a carbon fiber chassis :

I'm thinking about getting a TC4, the "club racer" version for racing, and was wondering how tough this car is? Are the stock plastic suspension mounts strong enough for normal racing or do I need to upgrade to the aluminum ones?

i raced mine today! handles great! the only durability issue i have is the front driveshafts, they certainly need to be something stronger than plastic. however other than that it took a few good shots today and came back kicking!

something that i did that really helped rear grip was trimmed the rear chassis braces off, gave the back end some more flex and the car was pretty dialed on my track!

when using a spool you really need steel driveshafts like the asc-2402, the plastic ones are fine if you run a diff.

Thanks. How well do the composite outdrives hold up? Do they need to be upgraded to steel?

oh man... got me some upgrades coming! im going to have this car dialed. those tc6s wont know what hit them.

as for the outdrives, mine dont seem to worn, but they probably only have 15-20 packs on the car so far. they are on my short list to upgrade though.

i mostly want to get a solid suspension set-up on the car and take care of the durability issues with the front driveshafts (i have some losi LCAs coming.)

anyone one have gearing recomendations for 17.5?
