I believe the TC4 uses the NTC3 bumper configurations so I think the larger RPM NTC3 bumper will fit.

Don't quote me but they look the same....

its shaped the same with the three posts, but the ntc3 foam is not as tall.

there might be a way to make it work tho...if someone really puts time into it using the rpm bumper, and the rubber gromits(sp?)

Default I tried that RPM bumper...

and it always bent down with the stock TC3 bottom bumper. I hated it! I used a penguin bumper and it never bent down again. I still have a new one laying around, I'll try to find it and see if I can mod it to fit. I let you know how it works, when I get those arms.

Default A tip for those who...

don't know. Try the HPI Pro 2 telescoping body mounts. They are great for the TC4's new bumper style. You can replaced the AE front ones with the bigger beefer HPI ones. The body is more stable, much stronger and they flex very little. If you look at my previous pics you can see them.

Just built my TC4 and in my opinion it is a massive imprvement over the TC3. The only problem i had with my car is that the silver ballstuds i found to be really soft and i stripped a few out during the build.

My shocks built with absolutely no problems and no leaks.

Brandon, I didn't need to dremel down my spindles for the foams to clear the front. I used some Tamiya wheel shims. If you'd like I'll order some for ya. The car is still within the 190mm limit.

Dave, yeah I have the Team Bomber main shaft, K-Factory NTC3 front brace, and Square input shafts. I had to use 1 less shims for the input shaft than what the directions call for. The car is free!

[B]stock ballstud shims? I don't know where to start on carpet for low rollcenter. So far the stock setup is working good, so I guess I stick with that. Other than I need less rear toe and better on power steering into the corners. I put a 1mm shim in each wheel and I used a buttonhead screw for the shock mount instead of the ballstuds. This way I could still use the outside hole on the front arm. I'm using 26mm foams. It works without grinding anything.

I ran the car like you see on the supplement sheet with 2 washer under the ball studs front and rear. For carpet there probably is something better than this, but to be honest I was kinda impressed with how it ran out of the box, so I saved that to test another day.

lilrobby- I got my kit locally, but KT hobbies had about everything I needed but the front arms, give them a try, my stuff shipped same day. They have a thread in the retail section of this website.

Interesting that people are having drivetrain issues....one thing to try is to back off the screws slightly that hold the #31019 Input Bearing Housing in place. Try not to crank them down...

On a side note:

If you feel your diff gears or arm mounts (as described earlier in this thread) are defective, please call our Customer Service Rep at 714.850.9342, x124, and we will replace them for you. You MUST have a receipt of purchase for this to be in effect, though. This is mainly for parts that you feel don't build or feel correct, not for parts you've broken because you hit a wall.

Hope this helps out all our loyal AE customers.
