Oh by the way... post your setup so i can take a look at it...
I'll see if I can get the fam to go to dinner at Applebee's tomorow night, then I may be able to stop at SoCal, and hang for a few minutes.

    My SoCal setup

This is much off of the stock setup, just a tweak here and a tweak there to give a little more steering responce. Hope this helps!

Nightbreed, on a sarcastic note - You don't use oil filled shocks??? Friction shocks? Tie rod's(no shock what so ever, just a turnbuckle connecting the arm to the shock tower)? What kind of new shocks do they have where there is no oil? Maybe I could change my nickname from bubbles... I have to admit though, Tamiya shocks kick serious butt!
  • yeah Tamiya and HPI shocks are definately high on the list, liking XRay shocks too...

bubbles...no didn't notice any laziness but i'm pretty sure my setup was so hard that any little twitch i made i saw...I work tonight at my LHS so maybe i can put in some paid tracktime and play with setup some if it not too busy
  • Is the SoCal track carpet or asphalt?
  • Michael Lufaso
    Hey Nice Site Michael!

I imagine you are a sponsored driver as you have tested the TC4 for weeks already and have a lot of Factory Team parts like the Graphite Blue Battery Brace and other stuff on there.

I will have to read through the site more tonight after work. Looks like a lot of good information on there.
  • TC4 in sweden
Hi there i just recieved my TC4 to my LHS, and now im going to spend the next couple of hours at my desk putting it together.
Is there anything specific to think about or is as simple as the xray to assemble ?

Asphalt. High traction too. It's something like, non sealed? Breaks apart kind of easy, but soaks up WD-40 and Paragon...
    It's indoor too.

Fredda, when you get to Bag H, there is a suplement sheet. This sheet, if I remember correctly, instructs you to install two shims under the ballstuds. Along with changing the position of the link from the #1 hole, to the #2 hole. I can't seem to find the suplement sheet. Therefore, I am not 100% about my information...
  • Bubbles thanks for the setup!

have to ask clod, cuz i kno hes got his sheet, but i think it was one shim under each ball stud origionally, but they give extras.....im not exactly sure either....have to get clod on here with his sheet to find out for sure, or someone who still has theirs.
  • Brent, what is the official AE word on those anti-roll bar as far as due date?

The supplement sheet in my kit also said use 2 shims... i know because i put the car together before i read the supplement sheet I guess i need to learn how to read...
  • The sheet also tells you to grind a bit of material away for the chassis brace where the ball studs mount, this will make getting the diffs. in and out a bit easier!

If you look there is hardly any room between the outdrives and the chassis brace...
  • yeah 2 shims
