thats the yokomo cf center shaft for the TC4.

in my personal experience it didn't hold up very well... ran it may 31st till 3 weeks ago when one of the dogbone ends starting spinning due to a broken pin.

running mostly 19T and stock...

The Team Bomber shaft is a much better shaft the Yokomo one is lighter by a gram or two... but the Bomber one is a brick S#!t house .... and is pinned in 2 spots at each end..

ROLL CENTRE SPACING. It's one of the things we have been playing with quite a bit lately. Running TC4 with BMI chassis we first ran with .5 shims all round as we had found best on the tub TC4. This was good.

Yesterday I tried lowering the rear RC by running the rear without shims. Result - lower roll centre at rear = more grip at rear = less steering. Next I'll be removing the front ones too, to see if I can get more steering and more grip. So far it's been best with 0.5 (that's 2 notch) shims all round.

There is of course another possibility. I am presently running 2.5 rear arm mounts. I couldleave the F and R spacing as it is and go to 2 degree mounts. this should loosen the rear - and give more straight line speed. Definately worth a try.

What impresses me most is how much these small changes effect the car's characteristics.

Andrew: 20 runs on a set of brushes is REALLY economical. Consider: most of us change them in 5 runs, if not less. It sounds like you are getting really good comm wear for that many runs, but i would say you could definitely afford 3.50 USD every 20 runs for brushes.

John Bull before you make that drastic of a change, try using the 3.0 block with the circle front. It will give you 2.0 toe in but with the wide stance so you keep the stability. I have that on my car and really like it. As far as the spacers, thank you. Thats exactally what I wanted to know.

If i were to get the team kit, what hop-ups would you all recommend getting? i was thinking maybe the carbon component kit and two swaybar sets(for front and rear). is there anything else i should add?

Default TC-4 parts on a TC-3

Ok lets try this again.

Will the caster blocks from the TC-4 fit the TC-3? I was hoping to try out the 6 degree blocks.

Thanks.

They should fit fine. I would get the Graphite kit, the sway bars, 4 deg blocks, Yok shock caps, Sqyare's lightweight spur adapter. If you can hold out for the FT kit then I would do that or maybe consider BMI kit
