Default Speedway Pal Drives

What was the final verdict on where/how to buy the speedway diff outdrives and blades (pages 125/126 if you dont know what I am talking about). I searched and searched and never found a straight answer. I tried e-mailing champ but they said they didn't carry them. Did I miss something or are they still not imported to the US? Looks like SiR is the only one in the US to have a set.

edit: I just realized DOHC_SiR's location says Japan. This doesn't look good for the my chances of getting a set in the US. Maybe I'll call the number on the package. Anyone know how much itcosts to call Japan and how to speak enough Japanese to order them for me? LOL

I went to the website, but tehy don't have a search (or I couldn't find it) and I couldn't find any speedway products other than this.

http://www.speedtechrc.com/store/ebcategory.asp?id=50

where exactly? Sorry to be a whiny 5th grader about this, but I can't seem to get it right on my own

aparently, they allow you to shim the outdrives more so you might need to get a diff shim kit.

Sorry, Andrew...I didn't have time to test them before the Reedy and I probably won't get a chance to race again for a few weeks. I'll definitely post something once I've had a chance to test them out. They look great though. Can't wait for them to release a spool

Hey Guys.... the 1st version of the PAL diff is just fine for 19T and up....... They should be working on a new version that will handle all of the Hot winds here shortly..(fingers crossed) and they shouold have a slightly harder blade for the Spool... I have 3 prototypes right now.... so a little testing has to be done..... as far as getting the PAL diff.. talk with Steve Wang at Speedtech R/C .. I'm sure he can help a lot

just a quick Q.

why did you go for the 'common' style motor mount, you know where the motor sides (like the pro4 mount etc) apposed to the current tc4 cam style one?

On the current style motor mount, a rib on the chassis holds the lower portion of the motor cam in place. With the graphite chassis, that same rib is gone. We would have to retool the motor mount anyway, and the design we would need is a pretty intricate piece. It was alot more expensive than the one designed for the FT car. Less money for the consumer, also.

Why didn't they design the FT chassis so that you could slid the battery forward and backward?
