the top deck is going to be different than the one that comes on my kit.i move some things around on my kit which is why the top deck probably wouldnt fit.the top deck for the tub chassis will fit the tc3 and 4.the price is going to be $29.99 and will include top deck, standoffs and mounting screws.it does have the
"BMI RACING" logo engraved on the top surface just like on the kit.let me know if you need any more info.

The only complaint that I've heard from anyone that has run one ofthe BMI chassis is that the entire top plate needs to be removed in order to access the diffs...

Was any consideration given to notching out the top plate so that it only connects to the lower part of the diff case instead of also connection at the 2 screws above the center shaft drive cups on the upper part of the diff case?

I would rather have to take out like 12 screws then not have a top deck, the mounting it has now is fine. It is similar to the mounting of the one on the ETC3.

The kai chassis does not have a top deck, they have a different way of stiffening the chassis.

unfortunately due to the location of the spur gear i couldnt make the top deck to allow for removal of rear tranny housing top.the front diff housing can be removed without removing the top deck.the top deck is mounted in the same locations as the side braces.the only way i could make it possible to do the rear is to remove the cross section behind the spur gear but it took too much strength away from the top deck.

the kai chassis is a very nice looking piece but unfortunately the lower you brace the chassis, the bracing looses its leverage.im sure it helps but i chose to go with the lighter guage carbon and increase the structure.

Very cool...

I seem to need access to the front more often than the rear anyway Jason...thanks for the clarification..
on the picture it looked like there were screws above the driveshaft....

I'm definitely going to need to check one of these out

i have to say though, that kai chassis is very nice.pockets on the chassis are very time consuming.these 2 chassis took a real long time to cut.it is 3.9mm milled down to 2.5mm.

3.9mm chassis though???

that's insane especially considering the grade of the materials you use....
