Hey guys...
A "top NASA official" aka "TANGTESTER" was able to get a few pics of my car on for us. There is a pic of the whole car, a view of the dampening system, shock mount and location, and the rear chassis brace, the final pic is off the servo mount location and of the personal transponder location with a view of the pocket in the chassis for servo saver clearance.
The night that car was raced had medium traction with some ripples. I had CRC grey rears, CRC plaid fronts, a TEAM SCREAM stock motor, POWER PUSH batteries, .018 front springs, .074" t-plate, 22 1/2 wt. shock oil with a green spring, and 60 wt. oil on the dampening plates.
We're working on a few last changes to try.... The new rear pod plates were bullet proof and free as could be!! I took out a few touring cars and didn't hurt a thing!! Even Ray didn't harm it.
What I noticed with this chassis is it requires a much more aggressive driving style. I can run full throttle for 90% of the track and not upset the chassis and keep up the corner speed.
If you guys have any questions feel free to ask or give any input...

-Wayne

That chassis looks awesome , my only gripe would be the front where the body post s mount , the mickey mouse ears may tend to split the carbon during a hard hit , ( my biggest problem with my L 3 ) . The better carbon Jason is using may make this a mute point ........... just my 2 cents

thanks to Jason and Wayne for developing this new car

Bob

Cleveland s coming ...... so get ready !

I agree and think Jason and Wayne are redesigning it-but not 100% sure. Sometims its hard for a wheel like Wayne to remember we all arent Nats Champions-hahahaha!!!

Hey Ray...
I just sent Jason a new CAD file with a more user friendly front just for you!! I streamlined the chassis a bit more, lowered the rear pod assembly a bit more, a new dampening post system that should be very trick looking, and provisions to run the dampening posts. If all goes well this may be what kicks off production... FINALLY!!!

how about some chassis cutouts to make it lighter? or will that just make it weaker?

Less chassis cut outs helps with mounting electronics...

I dont think the cars overweight. In fact I know Wayne and Jason wont let that happen. Its light where it needs to be.

Theres a bunch of little features that arent apparent in pics. You got to hold it in your hand. Its got cool touches like mounting holes for L4 servo mounts-or for flat mounting and its already relieved under the servo saver if you do mount the servo flat.

What else did I see..... OH yeah-its got mounting holes in the frnt for your personal transponder. And more than one set if you want to shift that ounce of weight forward or back a bit.

Underneath the car where the batteries sit-its relieved a tiny bit so the servo tape doesnt hang below the chassis.

It also has slightly revised wheelbase and track to optimize handling. And I also think Wayne said its giog to be designed to alllow running larger pinions on a set spur size so you dont have to change spurs to run larger pinions!!

Wayne-Great news-the sooner you ive it the OK-the sooner I can get mine shipped and built.
