429racer...
I don't know the exact release date... but If I were to guess I would say after the US Indoorchamps... Late November... He's finalizing some fixtures and has some other touring car orders for conversions he has to run off yet... We may get lucky and have a few kits at the US Indoorchamps... You may want to call Jason or send him an e-mail to get a more exact date. Sorry I couldn't be more specific, but that's all I know so far.. I'll talk to him today and see if I can pin him down for a release date!!

I'm back from my honeymoon guys. I thought I would have a surprize and have a package from BMI Racing in my house when I returned. I need to call Jason

A little something to hold you all over.

Here is the BMI L4. You might call this the final prototype. I didn't have the antenna mounted when I took the pictures. These were taken right after I took it out of the box that Wayne shipped it to me in. My apologies for not shrinking them down even more but I didn't want to loose too much detail. I feel for any 56k modem user that hits this post.

sweet bmi l4, whats the deal with the servo though? Arent there Alum servo mounts that come with the car, or is the steering better if you lay it flush to the chassis?

Hey JDX...
The servo mounted directly to the chassis has better stearing on most tracks... The servo mounted on the angle only seems to help on very rough or bumpy tracks. There are 2 sets of servo mounting positions. You can mount a servo with the stock L3 or L4 angled servo mounts if you choose to or flat like the picture shows. The conversion does not have any servo mounts with it since most guys already have the stock L3 or L4 ones or an aftermarket servo mount system allready.

Jay...
The diff assembly is from CRC... It will bolt right in!! He has a complete kit... or you can get just the clamp hub.
An ETA... Jason would have a better idea at the beginning of next week.. he's still finishing up some other projects, then he'll be back on 1/12 stuff.

Thanks Sg1, so you just use some double side tape and mount it to the chassis or do you use those specific servos with the mounting on top and bottom (Screw on bottom with lugnut)

The servo is mounted with shoe-goo.

Thanks again Wayne... I'll let you know how it goes this weekend.

JDX...
If the servo has the flat mounts off the bottom there are mounting holes for it... if not, shoe goo works great!! No servo tape, just shoe goo a thin layer on the bottom of the servo and drop it on the chassis and put pressure on it so the shoe goo oozes out from the sides and let it sit over night. I usually use 2" c-clamps to hold the servo in place over night
