Thanks again Wayne! Sorry for all the questions, but when it comes to 1/12th, I'm pretty anal about everything.

Litespeed...
I'm the same way!! That's why it's taking so long to get this conversion out... I'm always second guessing!!

Hey Johnb...
The batteries are put up against the t-plate as tight as possble. Looking straight down there is just enough room for the strapping tape, maybe 1/16". There is about 5/16" of adjustment front to back. There are slots in the chassis for a sliding positive stop at the front of the batteries. With the batteries all the way back, the back edge of the batteries sit 1/16" past the centerline of the rear t-plate pivot and with them all the way forward, the front edge of the batteries are about 1/8" shy of the centerline of the front t-plate pivot. You'll notice a big difference just by moving the batteries a 1/16".

It looks like your measureing center line of the T-bar from the center of front mount to center of rear mounting screws?

If so the L4 has the batteries 3/32" behind center line with the batteries back and 1/16" in front of centerline with the batteries forward. 5/32" adjustment total.

Hard to measure with the car all together, but looks like it's right at 3" from center of T-bar to center of axle.

So, if we're measuring the same, the adjust is close, BMI just a little further forward, but maybe about same if the axle diffence is closer. However the BMI will have adjustment in between. That would be nice.

And YES! When your moving what, 3/8 of the cars weight, maybe a little less? It will have a big effect on handling.

take care
john

Hey John...
That sounds like you got it... The BMI battery position may be 1/32" forward compared to the 12L4 when both cars have the batteries as far back as possible... but the BMI can be adjusted by whatever incriment you want up to approx. 5/16" forward. In mod. I ran them all the way back and in stock in the middle.

Hey Speedie...
The last 2 runs on the car had no changes... I was happy... We ran on a very high bite track, and the same layout, but the traction came down and the car was good under both conditions. Just a matter of moving battery position 1/16". Jason is fine tuning some fixture plates... then we should be all ready!!

Hey UnderDaHill-I drove your car Sunday for 4 or 5 laps. It had big tires on it , but still was awesome. by awesome it had good cut and on-power steering, but didnt feel too edgy. The big tires werent optimal for our layout-but car was just fine.

I think your gonna ike it!
