protc3 - Have you calculated the final pricing yet? Sounds good on getting it into production, the anticipation is killing me.

sg1 - How would you compare the corner speed to a stock L4?

if all goes well with the plating,we will be at 134.99 for the full conversion including the new pod plates.it ran a little bit more than expected but we put a little more into it for better performance.it will be well worth it.

Fatdoggy...
I think it all depends on your driving style.... With the batteries closer to the centerline of the car, dampening post position moved a bit, shock angle changed, and the regidity of the chassis... The car feels more stable in, threw the middle, and out of the turn. I like a car to feel the same, not dive in hard and push out. I also noticed you can drive aggressively or roll the car and the stearing feels the same. It doesn't dive into the turn under lower speeds...
All in All things went well.... The weight of the car with a GTX speedo was .4 oz. under weight. With a GT7 it was over weight by .1 oz.

Waynes car was working really well for the main, I had seen it with my own eyes, Hey Wayne, lets not forget the gearing help, muahahaa. Woooo, those stock motors can rip.

I wouldn't say those stock motors ripped... lol... I had one that vibrated off the table and rolled away!! I ran the one motor all weekend, and hoped the others would dump or crash, which they did...lol... I'll take a 3rd out of that.

So Wayne - What's your final thoughts on the conversion? Has it faired well with the competition?

Hey John...
I thought the car worked very well... Most people don't think a t-bar car will work on high bite tracks, but look at the results.. there were alot of t-bar cars up there. I noticed 1 thing that really helped me... at the end of the straight there was a teardrop turn into the in field... I could take it close to the inside wall along the straight and dive under people going into the infield and not loose speed. I cracked the chassis the 4th qualifier when I was assisted into the wall...lol... so I built the new car for the main. I ran the dampening plates with the 12L4 front end with 5 deg. uprights and .020 springs. I couldn't complain about the handeling... With all of the competition there, and to have a 3rd place finish with a ruff start and last lap, I'll take it!

Just talked to Jason and preordered my conversion kit. Can't wait! As usual, Jason was very cool to talked to, even when asked him so many questions he probably answered a millions times already!

Now the debate for me is whether to go with friction plate or dampener tubes..... any insight from all the test drivers?

Lightspeed...
I tried both dampening systems, the plates were more consistand for me. I could turn 1 or 2 faster laps with the tubes, but not consistantly. It really depends on how you like your car... I'm an old school driver who likes a solid smooth car.

Thanks Wayne! I've been using plates for all my racing until I went with the Hyperdrive this year. At the very least, Jason will be including 2 styles of top plates to try either plates or tubes.

I'll be testing the conversion with both CRC tubes and dampening plates. I'll let you know how everything works out. Hopefully Jason cuts my chassis soon...the suspence is killing me

Again, Congratz Wayne..I'd take 3rd place as well

John

How much for the complete kit not just the conversion? Still around $220-$240? You are still making a complete kit right?

sg1 - Thanks, sounds awsome.
