Well I've got lots of punch coming out of corners, in fact, that's where my car is in the "zone". It's the straight-aways where I get KILLED! I'm slow, slow, slow on the straights.

It's possible that you're undergeared as you say you have punch in corners, but lack in top speed. You could increase your pinion, but then you will lose punch due to both gearing and the lower voltage of you nimh pack ( due to the increased amp draw).

Get lipos, gen's ace batteries at www.hobbypartz.com seem to be where it's at.
