Oh crap! I didn't even think about that.
Even if they were unscathed, it will probably have a negative impact on parts supply.

I think they are in Shizuoka which is south of Tokyo and the all the major stuff was at the northern part of the country. Its hard to tell whats going on there. There was a post on one of the RC news sites that Kyosho is fine and all its workers were safe. Aside from that I have yet to see anything about Tamiya. It was a crazy day this will effect many people.

Kyosho:
A massive 8.9 magnitude earthquake occurred this morning off the coast of Japan believed to be the area strongest in 1200 years. The quake triggered a tsunami which has killed hundreds and has caused an early estimate of tens of billions of dollars in structural damage. Japan is a major hub of activity in our industry.
Countless companies and tracks call the country home, and we wish the best to all of them during this time of tragedy. Our thoughts are with all of you. The photos below were taken at Kyosho. As you can see, some damage was taken at the RC manufacturers headquarters. Word out of Kyosho is that everyone there is OK though, thankfully.

Yeah, f**k the parts and cars, I just hope there weren't many people lost. It's not close to home geographically, but sure is in every other way being in Christchurch.

Today i heard on the news that there was another eartquake in shizuoka, the earthquake had a 6.0 on the scale.
Let's hope it didn't affect the tamiya factory and there employees.
