I don't know what some of you guys are thinking... Maybe you guys haven't been reading the new links out there but IT'S A WHOLE NEW CAR, and it sounds pretty kick a$$ to me!

Looks like a very nice car to me, Associated is well known for not putting out junk just for the sake of change.

It's still a great car, but two of the shortcomings IMO of the car still haven't been addressed. The sway-bar and the c-hub bearings.
X-ray has it right on using the larger diameter bearings in the c-hub. I REALLY wish AE had done the same from a durability standpoint.
On the sway-bar, the old system was suspect to tweak and the use of very weak/stripable screws to hold them in was always a pain. I also really wish they had addressed this as well...
I too am looking forward to seeing the final product to how it turns out.

All i have to say is its about freakin' time! There are ALOT of subtle refinements present that we have all wished for the next AE ride. My only wish was the driveline WASNT touched.
Its true the stock lightweight diffs are pretty much unusable in mod, but for those of us that have already upgraded our TC3's with durable hardware, we can swap it to the TC4. One of the big things AE has always done is making something that doesnt require a large expense for the racer to upgrade. True it makes it cheaper for them to retool for a new kit, but the savings do come back to us. Imagine if the TC3 was similar to the Tamiya Evo4. Four different cars released REALLY close together for a freaking premium price. Ill drop my $200 USD for a racer kit TC4 and build it as i have my TC3, and be just as fast if not faster than some dude with a $600 all Japanese imported parts car could be. At least when (as if) my whip breaks i can goto my LHS and get parts!
The rest of 'em can pack up, go home, grab their credit cards, and order ONLINE baby! See ya in two weeks... with three of every part you will need...
In all seriousness. Buy the chassis, arms, mounts, pins, shock towers, chassis "A" braces, steering kit, front bumper goodies and strip your beefed-out TC3 for the necessary parts. I bet it wouldnt cost more than $150 USD and you would have the TC4... Wow thats the same cost as some of these aftermarket chassis companies are selling necessary hardware and two plates of graphite for!
Anyways, my .02c

Good point,
If the drive train and bearings are all the same I can take my acer bearings to my soon to be new car.

Hopefully the hub bearings are bigger. Small bearings suck
