James. Not to be a nitpick, but wasnt it's first race debut at Sheldons hobbys in the hands of Jeff Lewis? I remember because the Silva Boys brought the car up and Jeff kicked everyones butt with it the first day out.Thing sounded like a Blender and everyone was all over them first couple kits from that point on.

A Team Associated factory driver was running the new TC4 this weekend at La Mirada Raceway
The car looked very fast and dialed but of course you got to remember that it was driven by a pro

seeing their lap times between the TC3 and the TC4. All the team drivers look fast.

Comments about the TC3 still being one of the best and fastest touring cars are so true.
I have prepared a TC3 for my son from day 1 - that's 5 years ago. I had 2 of the first batch of TC3s to reach Europe. In those 5 years he has won the National championship 4 times and the other winner used a TC3 prepared by me anyway. So that's 5 years in a row the TC3 has been National champ here.
I also prepare TC3s for other customers and they are all very quick. We have now found a set up that works well every time. No fettling, no swapping this and that. Just put it on the track and it's quick.
We have alot of competition here from other manufacturers. Barracuda are putting in a really strong effort. They have some great drivers. They put in hours of effort and testing every day, yet son's TC3 still manages to win each time - and he refuses to practice too !
If the TC4 is anything like the TC3 then we should have it on a plate. I can't wait for my 2 to arrive.

TONY P> That's a pretty good percentage increase anyway.
In fact any improvement on the TC3 is good.
MOSSIE. Each track surface has it's peculiarities, so I don't know if our set up will work in your neck of the woods.
Certainly out here every good TC3 is now running exactly the same set up.
VERY BASICALLY.
Same towers front and rear. Shocks on outermost holes on towers and wishbones. AE shocks with Yoke diaphram caps without the little black sponge. AE green springs, 40 oil and number 2 pistons all round. We run unobtanium shock shafts on ours but that's just for added reliability.
Front and rear wishbones set flat - no kick up or anti squat. 2 degrees rear toe. Straight to 1 degree out in front. 2 degrees negative rear, 1 degree negative front. 4 degree caster blocks.
Top arms set on innermost top holes on towers. Actually my rear arms have been mounted vertically off the chassis for quite a while - see attached pic, but the geometry is the same. It just makes removing diff cases easier.
IRS spool up front. IRS diff halves at the rear. Corally Assassin dural drive shafts with plastic blades to protect the alloy diffs. We've never broken one of those drive shafts.
Bomber prop shafts and Tobee alloy layshafts.
Battery moved in and forward position. Servo saver locked.
Take off tyres on 24mm wheels. Sorex tyres on 26mm wheels - they fit better on 26.
Other than that it's a very standard car - the TC3 is so good anyway, it doesn't need much fettling. Son's car is still the quickest car at our track - 6 National titles, despite the fact that he rarely practices whilst the opposition virtually sleep at the track. It's just such a brilliant car that's so easy to get right.
Hope this helps.

Tony,
Thanks for letting CML use those TC4 pictures, much appretiated.
Just a quick question for you. Do you think the Rear Shock Tower on the Front modification will be used on the TC4 or has it all been balanced in the new design to not need it.
Personally I never ran that on my TC3 but I know a lot of people that did.
Cheers
Andy
