Default My Brushless ride has no brakes! And I have a race tomorrow.

Hi,
Today I installed a Feigao 540-8s BL motor (like hacker b50s) into my car. My Hacker comp esc won't come in until next week.

So, I Installed a Kontronik Smile 45-6-12 , It is a 50 amps esc for cars/heli/airplane.

The cogging is bad, so is the heat. Those are not my main problems now.

It will not work with my Car radio system. Cheap 2 channel AM. Servo work, Seems it is not arming. Tried all sorts of trim/reverse channel.

With my airplane controller, It has no brakes!

I have a race tomorrow. Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Vova

hi,

Try this...
using your pistol grip controller, turn on the radio, then the car. W/ the throttle in nuetral, try increasing the trim to see if the controller arms, if not, try deceasing the trim to see if it arms. Usually these controllers won't arm until the neutral set-point on the controller is calibrated in accord w/ the speed controller.

Brakes are prob a setting in the programming, check the programming instructions.

hope you get it working,
havy

I got it to work. First I got the Pistol radio, then the brakes!
The whole trick is to arm the esc, then prodram it using your radio of choice.

The problem was that you could not program the esc( High/low endpoints) before arming it. My Pistol radio would not arm it.

So I programmed the ESC with my JR airplane radio. I set very small throttle endpoints.

Then I went back and re-programed it with the pistol grip.
Now I have brakes and All. Woohoo. 11:00P.M. and Im done.

Thanks!!!
