No it's not. It costs $4.05 to ship USPS for 2-3 day delivery in the US.

Looking to see Dumas lay it down again in 12th Mod. Now, if I can prevent glitching I might go somewhere at this race........ although my Aerial 360 Gainer to perfect landing in Cleveland was nice.

SAW IT IN PERSON! From here on out it shall be known as the "Brown Round" =)

It was a very close second to what I am now calling the "Dumas Departure", it's not every day you see a 12th scale car just peel off the track like a hydroplane boat. Luckily there were zero casualties.

Good luck to tall the Speedmerchant guys heading to the Birds next week!

Ok, Mo Denton just laid down a new track record at Y-City (Zanesville, Ohio) I checked out his set up:

red shock spring - oil ??
white side springs
mostly a newly built stock Rev 4

Front tires - Parma Violet (dual compound)
Rear tires - Parma Gray
Speed 8 body

Question: Info on the Parma Violets - I can't find them anywhere.

The track was a very technical - med grip/non Paragon track. His car was perfect. most everybody else was using purple fronts and gray rears.

I did notice also he ca'd the sides of his tires.(what type of ca I don't know)

Depending on the traction I normaly just use magentas or purples in the front, violets i am pretty sure are a dual compound sorta like a plaid or cyan. If you cant get enough steering with purples i would normally just go to magentas or dependin the layout softer front springs or stiffer rear. Generally for all club races I run magenta fronts though.

Violets are a dual compound. The inner half of the tire is magenta and the outer half is purple. It's similar to the TC tires only there's more than a thin ring of harder foam on the outer edge of the rim.

Three more questions:

1)What is the difference between Parma Grays and Pinks - They are both rated 30

2)BSR rates their XXpink at 35-40. Would that be close to Parma Magenta.

3)BSR Pinks are rated at 30-35. Would that be close to the Parma Gray and Pink?

Greys and pinks may have similar durometer ratings but their foam is different. The Grey produces a little less traction but wears faster. The Pinks produce more traction, they tend to hold traction longer, and dont wear quite as fast.

I need some parts for my Rev4. I have tried the web site but the parts I need aren't listed, I have also tried Hobby Ect. I need a crossbrace that mounts the damper tubes and body mounts and I would like to get a set of damper tubes. I am in central Ohio.

Thanks, Craig Thompson

It is generally agreed that on carpet Grays produce more side bite than Pinks but that Pinks produce more forward bite (although on asphalt Pinks tend to produce more side bite because their traction comes more from friction than the traction compond in the carpet) and that due to the lower wear rate of the Pinks they can hold the traction that they have longer....but...usually on carpet Grays will hold their side bite longer than Pinks even with the increased wear rate...
