I just got a rev 3 and I need to put a good setup on it for a med/high bite track. I run mod (10,11 double) and for tires purple front and grey, white rears. Right now I am running a rug rat but I just can't seem to get that last little bit out of it to stay ahead of the crc's the whole race. As far as I know I will be the only one running a speed merchant there so any help I can get would be great. Also if I were to get the convertion what else is differnt between the 3 and 4 besides the chassis and the tweak plate, I.E what else would I have to buy
If you've already got a complete Rev. 3 the Rev.4 conversion #smr1406 will give you everything you need for the changeover.

I'm thinking about purchasing a link car guys to run on 'high-bite' asphalt. How do you guys like the old-skool front end on this car or have you immediately switched over to the Assoc. style? Is this strictly a carpet car?

Links cars excel on high bite, and espically on bumpy tracks they really hold an advantage over t-bar cars since the front to rear and side to side dampening are seperate.

As you can see from the pictures of Dumas's and the Pritch's cars from cleveland, the old school front end works great, although i think one or two drivers have tried running and do prefer it, i think the entire stock team and most of the mod team run the old style front end since it is alot easier to work on and works better in high bite.

The car works great on asphalt as well as carpet, heck i can barely drive mod (as bruce, lol) and I made the show at the 04 paved nats in mod 12th. It is a little bit free in the back, but with some set up changes it really works well and again as with bumpy carpet tracks like cleveland or snowbirds asphalt tracks are rarely smooth and not having one spring or t-bar control the entire rear end makes the car easier to drive on rougher surfaces since the rear end can keep the tires in contact with the ground better and handle the bumps better than a t-bar can.

Thanks for replying stormperson; I do think that I'll give one a try. What can it hurt (except the pocketbook maybe?)

What is the easiest way to get in touch with Bruce? My LHS is looking to carry his cars as there are about 3 people looking for one.

E-mail him @ [email protected]

I know he's a bit swamped getting ready for the 'Birds, so this is your best bet.

Any one know where I can get a Rev. 3 to Rev. 4 conversion? Hobby Ect is out of stock.
Also I need to get more ride hight in the front of the car does any one make lowered front arms for the Old Skool Front end or should I change to the new front end?
