I love my TCX and I am ready to sell it because you can't get parts. If I could get half the support at my local track with a TC6 or Xray I would buy one tomorrow. Buy the car that the most folks at your track are driving. Being able to get set up help is worth it's weight in gold. Seems all the top cars are great.

I've driven tc6, xray 2011,and photon on rubber tire . Quality wise of course xray, tc6 and photon are about the same with a slight edge to top. Handling wise I'd say tc6 and axray are about the same both imo slightly better than top. Price and part support plays a big factor. I have a tc6 and am more than happy with it. The only other car I would buy at the present time would be xray 2011. I've owned a top and tc6 but have driven plenty 2011's.

The car that I have had the most fun with and getting club level results from was the Tamiya ta05, it seemed to be dialled wherever I raced it in higher grip tracks.

The only downside was it's heavy weight and wasnt very lipo friendly when I added a 3racing chassis to it.

I now have the trf415msxx and have done for about 3 years now, imo it is a lot more sensitive to setup changes than the ta05, which can make it a frustrating drive at times.

Fastest chassis for me has been my Losi JRXS type R. Even with its little problems it has massive pace compared to everything else I have played with. Its big problem is it is just not supported very well.

If I wanted to go out tomorrow and buy a TC the gave me the best possible chance of being fast I would take the HPI TCX. The jap cars tend to be more responsive to setup changes and generally just generate more grip. The TCX is considerably more durable than the other jap cars which is what makes it stand out. However to benefit from the performance of jap cars you need to be able to tune your car or you can easily end up going slow instead of fast. They make bad cars for beginners who are better off with an xray where setup makes alot less difference plus its xtra strong.

On foam tires my HB Cyclone was the (+)(+)

On Rubber tires My Photon has been the best car I had. But Almost all the cars I have had in the last 4 years or so since I have been running rubber tires has felt very similar. I think its all about setup and getting a feel out of a car that you like.

The best touring car I've ever driven was always the one that was setup properly for the specific track....

ANY of the new TC's are great nowadays... it comes down to your preference of color anodizing, parts availability, and cost (if applicable to you)...

Has to be between my Mi2EC from old and the HB TCX I have now. The EC was so easy to drive and drive fast. Gave me my best ever racing result so far, parts where cheap, parts backup excellent.

The TCX is a really great car, couple of niggles like the ball ends but these are really easilly sorted. I had an Mi4LP before it, nearly gave up racing as got so pi55ed off racing it. Made the investment into the HB and really happy with it. Car is great, re-acts to setup change. will be able to say more once ive taken it outside as only run it on carpet so far.
