Consider WGT as the alternative to TC classes (and spec rubber tires) suspense!

Default Cam bad news

Tell Shawn window shopping is fun too, Linda has been saving up for months to go on a spending spree with the girls.

I hate this comment from Cam.

As our summer is in full swing, so are the preparations for another great IIC. As we prepare for the event each year there are so many things that we work on to do what we can to make for the best experience at a race anywhere. As it seems to be each year for the past couple of years, the biggest challenge has been what racing classes to offer.

There are many things we considered when looking at last year’s classes and the vibe of the on-road racing world. The main thing that seems to be taking hold worldwide is Stock 17.5 racing with no boost. We were the first to witness what this boost can do to racing as we were the first event to be challenged by racers with this new technology that was not available to the masses. We saw the difference it makes and in just a few years we have watched it continue to progress and get Stock 17.5 racing moving at speeds that used to be considered modified. So we will offer a Stock 17.5 class with no boost. On the flip side there are racers that enjoy using this technology/advancements and love racing at those speeds. So, just like last year, we will also offer a Stock 17.5 class with boost.

As you look at the classes that will be offered at this year’s IIC, I am sure there will be a class that you will enjoy racing.

Here are the classes that will be offered at the 2011 IIC:

AMATEUR SPEC 17.5 MOTOR NO BOOST
STOCK TOURING 17.5 MOTOR NO BOOST
SUPER STOCK TOURING 17.5 MOTOR BOOST ALLOWED
MODIFIED TOURING

1/12TH SCALE STOCK 17.5 MOTOR NO BOOST
1/12TH SUPER STOCK 13.5 MOTOR BOOST ALLOWED
1/12TH MODIFIED

WORLD GT 13.5 MOTOR NO BOOST
EXPERT WORLD GT 10.5 MOTOR BOOST ALLOWED

Class registration information

We will again be doing registration live online from the www.intchamps.com website.
Registration will go live on July 13th at 8:00 P.M. EST, which is 5:00 P.M. PST.
You will need a Credit Card or Pay Pal account to register online but you will also be able to sign up via normal mail and mail your entries in. I always reserve some spots for mailed in entries so there is no need to worry if you plan to mail it to us.

Registration fees for this year’s IIC are as follows:

Amateur Class is $180.00. This includes 1 Brushless Motor and 1 set of Handout Tires.

For all other Handout Tire classes, Touring 17.5, Touring Modified, World GT or Expert World GT as your first entry it will be $160.00. This will include 1 set of Handout Tires. If this class will be your 2nd or 3rd class the price will be $90.00 and this will also include 1 set of tires.

For 1/12th classes as your first class the entry fee will be $145.00.
If this class will be your 2nd or 3rd class the entry fee will be $70.00.
Here is what your registration fee gets you at the IIC

* Upon Check in, the great IIC Goodie Bag. Which consist of many great items from our sponsors totaling close to $100.00 in goodies.

* Discount coupons at the Rivera for shows and souvenirs

* Great event T shirt designed by Dusty Kemp.

* Professional ID Badge commemorating the 2011 IIC.

* Tuesday Drivers Meeting Buffet Dinner in the Ballroom at the top of the Riviera.
This has been a tremendous hit the past years giving everyone a chance to relax, socialize away from the track and fill your gut with all the great food you can eat.

* Wednesday night Sponsor Meet and Greet with more free food and Free BEER, YES FREE BEER! For those of legal drinking age of course. Last year’s event was crazy! Everyone had a great time and it was a perfect way to wrap up practice.

* A race venue that is second to none in the world of RC Racing located right on the Strip.

* Tech inspection managed by Jamie Tennies who is one of the most experienced and well respected guys in the business.

* The Staff at the IIC will bring you the best, most on time race program you have ever attended. Each day when you arrive at your pit, there will be a time table listing exactly what time your race will be on the track. If it says you’re in race 12 and it will start at 10:30am. You can be assured it will start at that time. This allows the racers and families the chance to plan your day so you don’t have to stay at the track the whole day, you can go out and win a lot of money in the casino if you’re lucky or you can explore all that Las Vegas has to offer.

So as you can see, your entry fee includes so much more than just the right to race in the event. You get great gifts, great food and the best scheduled event possible. And when you compare this to what other events charge, you can see that the IIC is a great deal.

Looks great, Scotty. Looking forward to attending as always.
Now if I could just narrow down which classes I want to run!
