That GQ tire truer sure does look like it has the same looks as the ofna truer. Just a couple of things look the same. The edge shaping feature is cool.

Guys, whatever happened with this truer? Did it ever "catch-on"? I haven't seen it advertised anywhere and GQ's website says there is an "updated version" "coming soon". Any info., anyone?

It's been awhile since I spoke to the guy who runs GQ USA but from what he told me is they were testing these and using them overseas.

They should be available stateside soon if not already.

We are awaiting word on delivery from GQ. They are an incredible truer and ss soon as we hear we will publish the final sale price and delivery times.

I've seen the GQ truer in action here - Competition R/C in Vancouver distributes them. It is a very nice unit, and has great features. I am going to pick one up for carpet season for sure this year.

From talking to some sponsored racers about the tire truers, here i what they had to say. The Integy Autotruecut (the $200 model) tire truer is accurate, but the motor is very weak compared to the Hudy (the ~$400 model) Some say the Integy takes about 2x as long to true a tire, IF you are taking off more than 2mm. If you are always taking off 2mm or less on the integy, it works fine.
