Default XXX-S Motor Upgrade

Im thinking about upgrading the motor and speed control in my losi xxx-s sport. How is the Trinity D5 12t with a Duratrax Intellispeed 12turn. What gearing should i use, or what do you recommend.

If you're looking to upgrade your stuff then definetely go with "name" brand stuff. I've heard good things about the Duratrax, but in the long run an LRP or Novak will be the better decision. Also, with that ESC, you're limiting yourself to 12 turns. You should really look into a no-limit ESC. Personally, I am a fan of the Mtroniks Cirrus....but thats just me....it may be a little exotic for some. For solid proven preformance, I would go with the LRP Quantum Comp 2 or wait for the new Novak to come out. Then with the motor, also check out the Revolutions or the D6.

Good Luck!
