Default hudy advanced comm lathe

Just a quick question for all the owners of the Hudy Advanced Comm Lathe.

When looking from the endbell of the lathe motor, what direction does it spin? I think my lathe was wired incorrectly because the black wire is soldered to the tab on the motor that has a + sign on it - as such it spins anti-clcokwise

On my hudy the armature im cutting spins counter clockwise at the bit.

So when operating the lathe the comm is spinning from the top down onto the bit.

My hudy is older uses a single pully. Motor on the right armature on teh left
hope this helps
