Looks quite similar to the GM stuff. It'll be cool to have Team Orion properly back in the motor and speedo game with up to date stuff. As far as competition stuff they seem to have been a bit quiet compared to the good old V2 days.

Could be interesting...however none of their description or features buttons do anything when I click on them so I can't get any more info other than a picture.

any driver's here that are on the team?

I went with the Xerun 120amp 1s instead. Plus they are identical and I could not wait till April for the R10 to come out. Not to mention based on the msrp the R10 is $150 more then the Xerun...

New esc and 90c batterys caught my eye.
"Orion also have their new line of racing speed controllers, the Vortext R10 Pro. Machined out of an aluminium block the new casing helps dissipate heat from the ESC yet remains very small and light. A neat feature of this speedo is that it sports two optional sensor cable outputs, one at the standard top position and one out the cable side of the unit allowing you to find the optimum wiring setup. The ESC can also be programmed through the motor sensor cable. Available in two versions, the first can handle 1S to 2S, while the second works with 2S to 3S batteries."

Hello guys , does anyone know how R10 pro (160A) works with 10,5 turns engines ?
Are they using the same way as GM and Speedpassion , in the way you can run stock and modified engines ?

I just got this esc for my 22t and let me say that it is AMAZING!!! The thing looks great, performs exceptionally well, and stays cool. I just have a few questions about it. First off, how do you setup reverse on it? I just installed it from the box and ran it. Secondly, does it have lipo cutoff already engaged or do you not have to worry about it? Thirdly, how do you activate the blinky mode?

All my cars are using either the r8 or r10. Could have never been happier. I race against tekin's and let's for the most part and smokes them through durability and performance. I was once accused of running with esc timing when my esc was blinking the whole time. Not once have I seen this esc go past 115 F on a 10 min. main. My only complaint would be fixing the issue where the esc acts like it has drag but set up for 0 drag on the box. By the way, I wasn't bad mouthing tekin or lrp. That just the esc of choice of the other racers.

So I've just connected my Orion R10 Pro (2/3S) after using the 1/2S for about a year without any problem. But when I connect the ESC it doesn't respond to anything and starts blinking (red) with a beep sound. The speedo doesn't respond to the transmitter (but give's BEC through, cause the servo works), doesn't react on the Program Box. Doesn't react on the set-up button of the switch.
Anyone seen this before? The Trouble shooting page doesn't say anything about this behavior.
Some advice?
