Hi DirtyDog3375 and Nick, you are right to connect the fan to batt + and batt - but the problem is the fan is too close to the motor and is being affected by the motor magnets. It should be mounted a bit further away.

The best system I know is the new 'CanZero' forced air extraction system from Red Racing in the UK. It is very effective and fits the fan (or fans) at the perfect place on the motor for maximum cooling.

The web site is at: www.redracing.co.uk

Finally got a chance to run my MX Pro in my TC. I got my motor hot enough (7x1) to unsolder a motor wire in one qualifier but the esc ran fine the whole time. It seems really efficient as well, after my main I ran another 4 laps at full speed before they kicked my off the track for the nitro cars to run. If you guys were more well known in the states you would have alot more customers, you have a very nice product.

Matt, good to hear you're getting on well with your MX Pro. Thanks for your compliments.

We may be getting more well known in the USA, and hopefully quite soon

Im back from 3 days of racing in the HPI Challenge German National. Mostly in damp to real wet conditions. Again the MX Pro worked really well for a friend and me at the wet track and showed its really waterproof. I used profile 5 in the wet.

I used my MX Pro to win mod TC at the ROAR region 8 champs this past weekend. Held up fine running a 7x1 on a big nitro track. Ran profile 6 which is the variable frequency mod profile

Just got back from the Roar Paved Oval Nationals. Ran my new MRT Pro Speedo at the race in 4 cell mod. Temps were in the mid 90's most of the week and track temp was around 130 or so. Running 7 and 8 turns and dumping 3800's in 4 minutes on the track and the new speedo never missed a beat!! Lap times were as fast as TQ but just never got a clean run in. Ran the fastest laps in the main but got in a little mishap and ended up 4th overall. Still a great weekend for someone that hasnt ran oval but a handfull of times in the past 2 years.

Took 1 very hard hit directly in the battery/speedo in a heat race. About a 55-60MPH hit with out lifting. A GTX or LRP would have exploded but it did NOTHING at all to the MRT!! Awesome product and will be replacing all my current ones with them!!

Thanks Terry!!

haha.. moved over to the MRT side Eric? You know it makes sense

Actually, ran the MX Pro at Aldershot weekend, which was WET... very WET!
Pretty much ran it without protection, bar a bit of blue tack. Ran reliably all day, main problem I had was keeping water out the other electronics, reciver and transmitter mainly.
Not the best of days, unfortuantly didn't manage to get to complete a proper run. Ended up 49th, and didn't manage to run my final due to the tranny going haywire... oh well, cotswold in a few week.

Any news on a release date/price/specs of the MX Team and Worlds editions yet?

Whats the difference in resistance between an MX with solder posts and an MX with the corally style connectors.

i.e. if I were to make up cables with corallys in them so I could remove the wirong from the speedo easily, would there be noticable performance difference?

Hi Skiddins, there is very little difference you should not notice any difference in performance. So long as the connectors (all connectors on your car) are kept in good condition (ie a tight fit and not worn) everything should be fine.

I think Terry and MRT are working with someone to be their US Distributor/Dealer at the present time. Im sure that once the details are worked out they will be anouncing it and releasing prices.

I got one a few weeks ago and love it. Small, easy to setup and doesnt fall apart if you take a hard hit!!

EA
did you get a "custom" one or a regular black one? Mine's red with a red LED with a short wire for the switch.
