Would I HAVE to grey import to get a Pro Comp with Setting Adaptor??? Big shame if I would...

Got the VFS-1 J this week... nice piece of equipment!! One question though: why bother offering a pre-soldered version if you still need to solder on the capacitor?

Is this really a good ESC? I just soldered the wires onto a VFS-1 Competition for my friend today and it's kind of tricky. The Power Capacitor is kind of hard to solder on. Can you guys tell me if this is a very good ESC because I like the size of it, it's so small! Is it durable?

I have the Twister 2 version of it and it survived a season of offroad 4wd mod and the short season of onroad so far.

Both my diodes are dead i think. My double broke when i thermal'd the speedo running modified, and i got a hit today in my final which damaged the diode, the car just stopped and the speedo lights up but makes an audible whine and cannot power the motor. Yet remove the diode and it works fine. Visually my double diode is fine, my single is trashed, full hit has bent it in half and cracked some of the shielding off. Why does this happen though, the diode stops the motor from working, yet the speedo does work without it fine....

@ berger
You should solder the diode on the contacts of the speedo. So it can't be hit by an impact.

What is the difference if it is on the speedo or the motor and why does KO prefer the motor?
