Do I need to avoid connecting the red wire of the VFS1 to the receiver?

Help me please.

Kenny-
Remove the red wire from the wiring harness going to the receiver. DO NOT CUT the red wire, just remove it from the plug by pushing in the pin that retains the plug into the harness. Now your VFS will only power the motor. You will need to re-insert the red wire to the harness program the VFS.

Plug your receiver pack into the receiver directly. You will still need to turn on the receiver pack (if you have a switch) and turn on the VFS.

You can send it directly to KO PROPO USA. Labor is a flat $11.00 plus parts and shipping.
OK I'm sending the unit in, about how long to get it back? I picke up another one and it works perfectly so definetely I somehow fried the unit by leaving it on for 3 days

Got a 2nd hand VFS-1 and need to find out how to set it up as did not get any english manual or if there's a link for me to download it.

Do I also need to run the KO diode? I run 7-9 turn motors but only use brakes during lining the starting grid , stopping when race is finish or trying to avoid an accident but never during racing.

danjoy! please please please use a double diode from Ko. trust me.. i toasted an esc because i forgot to attach one. you dont want that.

if you got spare time.. go back about 7-8 pages. i wrote step by step instructions on how to get the VFS set up. of course you'll need either the software (on a laptop with the proper connectors) or the handheld programmer.

let us know if you need any help

Found the manual and got it working, initial setup that is. Not really fuss about adjusting the parameters for now. Default setting for now will be fine.

About the diode, can I just use to normal diode as I can't access a KO one tomorrow. do I need to use more than one and how do I go about it?

Another question, does the VFS-1 Pro Comp come with wires to solder? And do I have to purchase the Shotki Diode separately?

Hi guys, could you tell me if the new updated fets are actually different or is it just the temp cut off thats changed?

Basically, what I want to know is if the internal resistance has dropped a little with these 'new' Fets..?

Thanks in advance!

Anyone had their VFS-1 shut down running a low turn mod on a very hot day?

I think the speedo is getting to hot but not sure?
