I've been running a Keyence Zero-V extreme for over a year and greatly prefer it over my GT7. More punchy, less "finicky."

I've been giving the KO VFS a serious look. Just a little gunshy after watching someone here blow up 2 in one evening running 10x1's.

Naa, Ill tell it. Well, I was at the nats, running in 19turn, and running a Q2. After, trying out a buddy's car (with a KO speedo in it) with my tuned 19turn motors, his car was much faster (with my motor and batteries) than my car was. So...I went and got my speedo from robert (Ko Propo Staff), and put it in my car. Well, my car was MUCH! faster, than with my Q2. I also, that day, blew by a Novak factory/Fantom factory driver on the straighty, who was running the new prototype long-awaited speedo. Please note that I was running the old Ko Speedo, and the new speedo is going to be even better....

Also note that I have run and own the Q2, and owned and ran the Keyense V-Zero Extreme.
mike.. i also spoke to neil rabara.. he said you were "yanking" guys out of the corner your car was so fast. its okay, if people dont wanna run the Ko..thats their loss. ive seen it for myself in person. its just too bad people have to start flaming. ive owned the LRP QC2... its just my preference to run KO and i dont enforce my preference by going into the QC2 or GT7 thread and posting negative comments.

Nexus
There really are not profiles in a "novak" sense. Each step of the throttle is adjustable, so really you are looking at how you want the speedo to act at each point in the throttle pull.

I will say that this speedo is silly. Silly fast. I honestly cannot remember my car being this fast consisently. All this with the same old motors I have been running when my car was slow....

To Ko Propo Staff,

What is the warranty support you offer for the VFS-1? If something goes wrong with it, not that it will, Where would I send it and how long would it take for me to recieve it back. I'm here in California and I know you are too, so I doubt shipping would take long. I guess it come down to how long your repair/replace process takes. I'm putting one one pre-order tomorrow and just want to know more about your support and turn around.

Much Thanx

The only warranty that we offer on ESC's is that they will be free from manufacture's defects. If you reverse voltage, do not use the shotki provided, mis-use, or connnect something wrong, etc., it will not be covered. Turn around time on repairs is usually 24-48 hours as long as parts are in-stock for repairs. Repairs should be sent to KO PROPO USA directly for ESC repairs.

Default KO VFS-1 Manual

Hey guys i finally got my VFS1 Pro unforunately the manual is in Jap is there any sites where i can acquire a english manual? I have tried the USA site and donwloaded the VFS2000 hopgin that it maybe similar in tx set up but when i uncompressed it it was a manual for the ICS adaptor

And is the stock setup ok to use for both stock and 540 racing? i do plan to buy the adaptor a little later

Also are there anything i have to be aware of since i am using a Futaba 3PK and HRS reciever combo?

Hopefully you could help me out.

Robert, great seeing you again at Tamiya last week. I know you told me that there will be a Hara version of the new speedo, but what about a TRF Tamiya version? The other question is besides double the steps and being able to vary the braking frequency, what are the major advantages of the VFS-1 over the older speedo?

BTW, what ended up being wrong with Marty's radio?

Gary, nice to see you again also! I do not know if TFR will be coming out with their version. You may want to contact them directly to find out.

Besides the more finer steps in frequency and the ability to set the brake frequency, you can set drag brake, throttle response, and set the current limit to the motor. FET specs have increased, size is smaller, weight is lighter, and we have know incorperated a slide switch for the on/off power. Also, the PC program has a facelift with more features. I will post the program later this week along with the instructions.
