kennykay-

There is no cross reference between the numbers, if that is what you are asking. The frequency number is just assigned to a particular frequency "setting" for simplicity. Frequency number assingment is different from the VFS-2000 to the VFS-1 due to different frequency ranges offered in the two peices. The VFS-1 offers finer frequency settings than the previous VFS-2000, thus giving you different numbers.

The best way (and quickest) is to email KO PROPO direct for a quicker response. I do this (post replies) on my own time when I get a chance.

Hope this answers your question, from what I can get from it.

kennykay... i saw your post.. i couldnt answer it because i dont have the software on my laptop yet. if i did... i would have hooked it up. if you have any questions, dont hesitate k? we'll answer them for you.

robert is prepping for the chicago show... so he'll be super busy.. BUT not on tuesday night when i race against him again! (if im not called to league bball duties again )

mike.. whats up dude? how are things?

VFS-1... tried it over the weekend at ROAR12... simply an awesome esc. even better than my twister/2000. i couldnt get a "dialed" profile.. but that will come with more track time.

robert.. that profile for monster motors suck at hesperia ... need more rip! i might be at tamiya this saturday to do some testing.

Default VFS-1 Profiles Wanted

Would like to get a "beginning" profile for both stock and 19 turn touring indoor carpet, tight track. Any kind of reference to start from and can work from there would be nice.

I just bought 2 VFS-1 - one was a value pack and the other just a stand alone ESC. Neither of them came with any recommended setups nor did the instructions say anything about what each of the 64 steps relate to in frequency. Can I assume that they are 64 equal steps?

I would like anyones advise on the setups for 540 and stock at the moment - I have had a look at the KO websites and the profiles are all for the 32 step VFS2000

Thanks

Roger

You can find the frequency no. and actual frequency cross reference in the 2nd last post in the previous page. For your easy reference the link is posted below.

Hebiki - Thanks for sharing.

KO Propo Staff - Since you are using your own time, you are not obliged to answer any questions then. So, please accept my apologies if any of my words make you feel uncomfortable.

What is the default drive settings on the VFS-1 when it is shipped? What kind of motor would this be suited to?

mabuchi motors have no torque naturally. so the best thing to do is to have lower frequencies for your entire profile. i race at tamiya's track here in US..and there are only a few places you let off the throttle (2 if your set up is perfect). so i usually have a very linear throttle profile. try to figure out where you let off..and how much. on one turn at Tamiya.. i let off half way.. so i adjusted my profile to have even more rip at the half way point for the profile. see example below...

i ran this profile as low as 10 with the midway point at 6..then back up to 10. you can run it this low because your not worried about runtime with mabuchi.

ill need to convert this to make it fit the VFS-1. this profile was for the VFS-2000. but its just to give you an idea.

Hey Chris,
Was this directed towards me? If so, nothing much man, still running off-road. I am waiting on my order from RC America. I borrowed a friend's car for the Region 9 championship. I couldn't find a really good set-up for the VFS-1...or the car, either. I kept blowing up motors .

Robert, I need to give you a call about my speedo, having some minor issues.
