You may try the 2.4 jp version of the VSF-1 programme.

It do have 6.0V cut-off setting. But before it cut you probably can feel the slowing down of your car, for me at that moment the battery about 6.5~6.6V.

Thanks

I'd be AMAZED if the old brushed esc's were still being updated.

Make your life easy...pick up one of the Novak Smart-Stop units. Now they're even better than before because they're good one- to four-cell with auto-detect where before you had to buy a two-cell unit or a three cell unit specifically. Reasonably priced and pretty dead-nuts reliable.

Capacitors Needed?

I have two of these ESCs(KO Propo VFS-1 item # 40051).
-Does anyone know if Capacitors are needed to be installed on this ESC?

Thank You

It has been a longtime since I ran those, but I believe I did run Caps on them, but I am not 100% sure you may want to contact Ko

i've got the yokomo version of one of these, definitely has a barrell type capacitor - not "required" but helps brakes and the like.

you can see the stock one on the left (and the schottky diode on the right)

KO PROPO VFS-1 Brushless ESC

Thanks for the info Big B and cplus.

I should've mentioned that the KO Propo VFS-1 (item # 40051) in question for Capacitors; is the Brushless ESC.

Thank You

The VFS-1 does benefit with running a capacitor and any of the new ones will work with it. Helps the brakes and the punch.

Lols. Oops. Haha! Would still benefit.

Thanks for the info Johnny Wishbone and cplus.
(Johnny Wishbone. Do you run Capacitors on your ESC?)

I believe the latest VFS-1 (item # 40052) comes with Capacitors.
- so it's safe to say Capacitors will improve the performance of the older VFS-1 ESC (item # 40051).

I will install the capacitors and try it.

Does anyone know what is the stock Cut-Off Voltage setting on the ESC?
-Ni-MH or Li-Po?

Thank You

NiMH, clearly. so it will kill your LiPO...

Thanks for the info; Airwave.

I have to change the Cut-Off Voltage to prevent damage to my Li-Po battery.
-the only way to change the Cut-Off Voltage is through a computer?
-or; is there another way to do the changes?

Thank You
