By all means if you are racing silver can to lower the frequency beyond what the KO site recommends.

I would say experiment around for a profile that suits your specific driving style, track, and rules and regulations.

Be sure to check very couple of laps to see how your brushes are doing if you are experimenting. To see if there is no excessive wear to them.

I could tell you each 2 race session I have to change the motor, but even happened, my car still be slower than others. Some guy from A-main which use "Volac MS" have recommended me to remove out all the diodes, due we didn't need to braking but I still install the smallest ones from the old esc, because the manual told us to put anyway diodes on esc, so I followed it, but maybe I will try the small capacitor instead the BIG one from genuine, but I am not sure which one is more apropriate for 540 races.

Asides from frequency differences, you may want to also check your gearing, drive train efficiency, batteries to make sure nothing else is affecting your results.

Working on programming my vfs-1 and have a question.
There is a "power save" setting and the ko propo recommends using only on their own receivers. The setting is at 2.3V by default. I use a futaba 2.4 system and wondered what voltage is safe? I can choose up to 4.0V in .5 increments. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

im not sure with the futaba2.4ghz but in DSM/spektrum2.4ghz we set it at 4.0volts, to prevent rx shutdown

please help! I set up the vfs-1 for a 27stock and I have great initial punch, but I don't have any top end. Like I have it at 3/4 throttle. Tried swapping batt but no luck. Put my old $40 speedo, and I have full throttle again. Did I program it wrong?

Redbones,
Did you recalibrate your radio with the VFS speedo?

Bud it might be that you geared a bit short or dont have the battery power that others have.
With the stock motors a lot of guys run different ratios to be competitive.
I have seen guys run with anything from 45 - 52mm roll out on stock silver can motors.

Did you use the Profile on the Ko Website, if so I have tried them as well and found that the setup the esc comes with is the best for me, especially when I run a C027, I would reset it to the factory setup, hope that makes sense

it desoldert the (-) wire it self

the thing still works but i can't brake, can it be caused by the reversed polarity?

i did the same thing to my 2.2 but mine melted so i bought a 2.1 it was the only one the hobby shop had and had to send it in for repairs a week later, the only bad thing about a twister esc is the ko usa will send it to japan and it will take about 2 months to get it back

sound like your brake fet problem. give a call to Kopropo USA they can fix that. mine totally shut down without working because of i runing mod with too much brake and also without cooling heatsink or fan on the top of esc until the brake fet coil desolder.
