Charles-
Try the copper heat sink that we offer. It makes a big difference in the esc temperature. A fan with the heat sink would only make things better.

I would not use the hyper booster with any of todays newer batteries and motors. If you are going to run a standard mabuchi then you'll probably be ok. The problem is the current output and draw of todays equipment far exceeds the specs at which the hyper booster was designed for.

No. That is why we have discontinued it. If we were to make and updated one that will not become damaged with the current motor/batteries, it would be way too expensive. The original hyper booster was expensive to begin with!

Try going to the KO Propo website... they should have a list of settings there for you to try.

Where can I get a replacement case for my VFS-1? I have melted the corners while soldering, it still works but it just looks fugly. I didn't find it on the "Shopatron" on the KO website.

I had my VFS1 pro thermal shutdown a couple times yesterday. The track was about 120* and this was with a 7 turn. Can anyone recommend where to start on the frequency to avoid getting the ESc too hot? BTW what does Hara do in Thailand? It's really hot over there...
