Yea, I see it around. It's being used usually. I don't think Boeing helps us out anymore really. Janeki and Hexcell donate/give us a good deal on composite related stuff. It's amazing how many people I know in RC that went to the VRI, wanted to go or just heard of it. It's a pretty sweet program and I'm glad I'm in it.

I'm thinking honeycomb c/f with a cabinet knob. In fact, I am going to redo the kitchen. Invite Bob over. Check his pockets afterwards.

I like the shiny vs dark based on lighting. That is experience talking.

I guess that Joe is showing me his board if I can show up at Nor-Cal Hobbies on Sunday...Off-road race day.

Now, if I could only get him to do my setups and motor tuning...then, I wouldn't need a board.

Default Offroad Onroad Setup Board

Here is one I made for myself for offroad, but I have been using it for onroad as well. It's 18" x 18" and made with a sheet of carbon fiber and covered with a clear sheet of acylic. I painted the design on the inside of the acrylic.

That is a sharp looking board. How thick is the CF & acrylic? And what are you using for nuts on the back of the CF?

Sorry Bill The boards will be cut today and be available tomorrow or next weekend. Same for you Tim. Korey send info.

Clint one thing for sure, the only side to be on is yours.

Readers the material is left over scrap from the construction of clean rooms normaly thrown in the can. Very expensive but garbage in smaller peices.

The carbon fiber is 2.5mm and the acrylic is .0938. I drilled and tapped the carbon fiber 4-40. I countersunk the acrylic and used SS 4-40 x 3/16 flat head screws.
