I think the reason why you are being held back to being a great driver is that you are looking at those fast pretty boys instead of driving your car....lol..lol.. Stop looking at them and see what happens j/k

being photo genic is always a key in being a representive of any company. Weather its R/c cars or a banker. Now I am not saying that you have to be pretty to represent somthing but clean cut is definatley a requirement. Think about it J-A's.

if you mean Damon Hill, then i wud say that he wasnt good looking but you couldnt honestly say he was ugly. Have you ever seen ugly? i mean full on ugly.
Hill was actually voted the best looking man in F1 at one stage

Also i agree that your face does have to fit if your going to make it in any sport, rc racing included.

Look at the attachment and see a pic of Big Jim from long ago.... perhaps he shud have been booted out of the RC industry when he used to look like that!

Hi,

That pic is NOT "Big Jim" that is Hank Hagquist. he owns Hobby Talk. he sometimes races at a dirt track we used to race at in Mi. (before we went Karting) having known "Big Jim" for over 20 years I know that is not Jim.

as for Damon Hill being ugly......... not. same for Alain Prost. neither is Nikki Lada.

Oh i know other sportspersons are ugly, im not denying that, and i think that niki lauda has a good excuse. Prost wasnt too bad looking when he was younger. Actually in he is better looking in real life aswell suprisingly enough.

I love my thread.

I just posted it cuz a local racer plucks his eyebrows too and made me giggle. Then I was home and on the can and noticed Mr. Easton & Mr. Hara, maybe even Amezquia pluck.

In MotoGP --- the epitomy of world motorcycle racing --- the guys are all revered as tough. But you won't catch them plucking their brows. Leave that for the Estee Lauder magazine models.

Hi,

I am old enough to remember Niki's crash. (this aslo explans why I can't spell). and the fact that he was racing not too long after. and yes he does look better IRL. having met Niki before and after the accident and after the many surgeries.
as for the current crop of racers (R/C) some do look a bit different. I have friends at work that were wondering about Hara. they also thouhgt that BK was a young kid. as for the pic..... That's Hank.that's all I have to say.
